Georgia Leung ARAD RAD RTS
Registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance, Associate of Royal Academy of Dance, American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher in Primary through Level 7 of the ABT National Training Curriculum, Certified Teacher for Level 3 Progressing Ballet Technique, Certified Teacher for Progressing Contemporary Technique, Certified Teacher for Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing, Certified Beijing Dance Academy CDGE teacher, Certified Teacher for Chinese Dancers Association, Certified Advance Instructor for Brain Beat Dance Canada Senior Association, Honours Bachelor of Arts at University of Toronto.
Georgia has won several competitions in the year of 2000, including the Seventh North America Chinese Dance Competition in Vancouver where she received the Highest Score Overall Award with scholarship and the Showstopper America Dance Championships where she received First Place Platinum Award and Outstanding Overall Performance Award in ballet top soloist.
Georgia is also one of the 2005 Bursary Recipients of the 5th Annual Celebration of the Arts, Talent Search Competition. Her outstanding achievements have been recognized by the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto which presented Georgia with the 2002 Youth Achievement Honourable Mention Award.
As a dance teacher and performer, Georgia is continuing to expand the public knowledge of Chinese arts and dance culture by performing in many festival and events throughout Ontario. Many of these performances are voluntary and her achievements in volunteering have earned her the 2001 and 2003 Youth Volunteer Service Awards and the 10 Years Ontario Volunteer Service Awards in 2013 presented by the legislature of Ontario. In 2015, she was also awarded the Best Community Service Award by the ACCE.
